Juice co-packers

Fifty-one facilities run juice, and only four publish a minimum — the lowest rate of any category we track with fifty or more facilities. Before the volume question, there is a technical one that eliminates most of this list for any given brand: how your juice is going to survive on a shelf.

The pattern

HPP, hot fill or aseptic — pick one before you pick a plant

Juice will not keep itself. There are three industrial answers, and each one points at a different set of facilities:

HPP keeps the product raw and the flavour close to fresh, but it needs cold chain all the way to the shelf and gives you weeks, not months. Hot fill is cheap and shelf-stable but cooks the juice, which shows in colour and taste. Aseptic gives long ambient shelf life without the cooking, and costs the most to access.

That single decision removes most of this list. A cold-pressed brand cannot use a hot-fill line without changing what the product is, and an aseptic plant will not be interested in a small refrigerated run. Ask about process before you ask about price — two quotes using different processes are not comparable in any meaningful way.

Why this page is different

The least transparent large category we track

Across the 217 facilities we track nationally, 27 publish a minimum — about one in eight. Juice publishes four of 51, under one in twelve, and the lowest of any category with fifty or more facilities.

Part of that is genuine: juice minimums depend heavily on process and cold chain, so a single number would mislead. But the practical effect on a founder is the same either way — there is almost nothing here you can size up in advance.

A juice quote without a stated process is not a quote. HPP, hot fill and aseptic produce different products at different costs with different shelf lives, and the word "juice" covers all three.

Before you call

Two things worth reading twice

Cold chain is a cost you inherit. If a facility runs HPP, your product needs refrigeration from their dock to the shelf. That is a distribution decision disguised as a manufacturing one, and it is often larger than the co-packing bill.

Ask about the fruit, not just the fill. Some facilities source and process fruit; others expect concentrate or finished juice delivered. It changes your supply chain entirely and it is rarely stated on the website.

Get quotes from facilities that can run your product

47 of these 51 publish no minimum at all — you can't size them up without asking. Tell us your volume once and we'll ask them for you.

We only pass your details to facilities that match what you've described, and never to anyone else. How we handle your data. No fee to you, ever.
