56 facilities run ready-to-drink beverages, and 13 of them publish a minimum — the second-highest rate of any category in our database. "RTD" is the widest word on this site: it covers a canned latte, a canned cocktail and everything in between. The equipment barely changes. The licence does.
Published minimums first, then alphabetical. Each facility publishes in the unit it thinks in — pallets, cases, gallons, barrels — and we never convert one into another. Read the unit, not just the number.

Nothing in the letters R-T-D tells a facility what is in your can. A ready-to-drink coffee, a canned tea, a hard cocktail and a functional shot all arrive at the same filler. What separates them is upstream — pasteurisation, pH, carbonation, and above all whether alcohol is involved.
36 of these 56 hold alcohol authorisation, and 22 of them also run canned cocktails specifically. If your RTD contains spirits, wine or a malt base, that number is your real list — the other 20 cannot legally fill it whatever their equipment can do. If it does not, the licensed plants are still open to you, and they tend to be the ones with counter-pressure fillers and the tightest carbonation control.
The practical read: name the base in your first email. "RTD" tells a co-packer nothing they can quote against.
Across the 234 facilities we track nationally, 38 publish a minimum — about one in six. RTD publishes 13 of 56, one in four, and second only to hard seltzer.
The reason is the same in both cases: much of this capacity sits inside breweries and canning operations that quote batch sizes as a matter of habit. That habit is worth a lot to a founder, because it is the only way to know before you call whether a plant is your size.
One pallet and 200 barrels are both on this page, and both are real published figures. A category average would be meaningless here — read the individual rows.
Half of what ranks for “RTD manufacturing” sells empty cans. Packaging suppliers rank hard on these terms and their minimums are minimums of empty containers, not of production. A two-pallet can order and a two-pallet production run are unrelated numbers. Every facility on this page fills liquid; none of them are container makers.
Barrels are not cases. Several published minimums here are quoted in barrels because the facility is a brewery. One US barrel is 31 gallons — roughly 13.8 cases of 24 twelve-ounce cans. We publish the unit the facility uses rather than converting it, because their number is the one you will be held to.
A canned cocktail may not be regulated as a spirit. Depending on base and ABV, the same drink can fall under distilled spirits, malt beverage or wine rules — different tax, different paperwork, sometimes a different plant. Settle the base before you shortlist.
