Ohio has 5 facilities to California's 46, and publishes 3 minimums to California's 5. If you're shopping by run size, a short transparent list beats a long silent one every time.
The spread is what makes it useful: Creekside Springs will bottle 12 cases of water, NICHE wants 1,000 gallons for a standard run but will do 300 for a pilot, and Atlas sits at 200 cases in between. Three genuinely different sizes of brand are served here, and each one can work out where they fit before making a call.
The two that don't publish are both worth noting anyway. Pilot Canning is explicitly built for small batches and pilot runs — it may well be the most accessible facility on this page, but it won't say so with a number. Impact Beverage handles CBD and THC drinks, a category most co-packers won't touch.
Across the 237 facilities we track nationally, 36 publish a minimum — about one in seven. Ohio publishes 3 of 5.
That puts it ahead of Wisconsin and Florida, and far ahead of North Carolina, which publishes nothing at all.
NICHE publishing both a standard minimum and a pilot figure is the useful pattern here. A facility that names its pilot number is telling you it actually wants first-time brands, not just tolerating them.
NICHE's 1,000 gallons isn't the entry point — their published pilot run is 300 gallons. If you're testing a product rather than launching it, ask for the pilot, not the standard run.
Two of these 5 run plants in other states. Creekside Springs also bottles in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and Atlas Canning's main published address is Odessa, Florida. Confirm which site would actually run your product — the Ohio location's city isn't published in either case.
Pilot Canning's "low MOQs" is a claim, not a number. Given the name and the small-batch positioning, it's likely genuinely low — but we don't convert marketing language into a published figure. Ask them directly.
